How To Make
Recipes from Europe
Cevapi are small sausages made with ground meat, originally from the Balkan peninsula. Full of flavor, they are actually quite easy to make. Here's how!
Ground Beef Ground Pork Onion & Garlic Paprika & Chili Flakes Salt & Pepper Baking Soda Breadcrumbs Oil
Add the ground meat, grated onion and garlic, paprika, chili flakes, salt, pepper, baking soda, and breadcrumbs to a mixing bowl.
Use your clean hands and mix well so that the spices are evenly distributed.
Shape the cevapi with your hands into sausages about 4 1/4 inches long and 3/4 inches thick. Refrigerate for 1-2 hours.
Heat oil in a skillet, add the cevapi and fry on each side for a few minutes until fully cooked and browned.
Serve the cooked cevapi with fresh Lepinja bread (or pita bread), sliced red or yellow onion, ajvar, and fresh tomatoes. Enjoy!
