HOMEMADE CHEESE SPAETZLE

Cheese spaetzle, called Käsespätzle in German, are a popular and easy-to-make "comfort food" from Germany and Austria.

First, peel a large onion and chop it into rings. Fry it in butter until brown.

Next, heat the spaetzle noodles in a frying pan with a bit of butter.

Now add the cheese and stir until it has melted.

Serve the cheese spaetzle with the fried onions, chopped parsley and a green salad on the side!
