If you're looking for a simple green bean recipe, try this green bean salad! Made with fresh green beans and a few common ingredients, it can be enjoyed with many different dishes.

What You'll Need

First, rinse the green beans. Then trim off the ends and cut the green beans into smaller pieces. Also peel and finely chop the onion.

Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. When it's boiling, add the green beans and cook for about 8-10 minutes until crisp-tender.

In the meantime, make the dressing by whisking together the oil, vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper in a small bowl.

Drain and rinse the cooked green beans under cold water. Then dry them and add them to a bowl.

Next, add the onion and dressing to the bowl and mix well. Cover the bowl and place it in the fridge for at least an hour.

Taste the salad again and add more salt and/or pepper if needed. Then serve and enjoy!
