Mango Panna Cotta

How To Make

Recipes from Europe

If you like panna cotta, you have to try this fruity version with mango! Easy to make with fresh or frozen mango, it looks quite elegant - perfect for everyday or a special occasion.

What You'll Need

Mango (Fresh or Frozen) Granulated Sugar Lemon Juice Heavy/Whipping Cream Milk Vanilla Extract Gelatine

First, make the mango puree. Blend the mango, sugar, and lemon juice until smooth. Save 1/3 cup and put the rest in the fridge.

In a saucepan, whisk together the cream, milk, sugar, and vanilla extract. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat. Whisk regularly.

As soon as the mixture comes to a boil, remove the pot from heat. Whisk in the mango puree you set aside earlier.

Prepare the gelatine (follow the package directions). Then add it to the pot with the hot cream while whisking continuously.

Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature. This is important, otherwise the panna cotta may separate later. Whisk regularly.

Once it reaches room temperature, pour or ladle the panna cotta into serving dishes or glasses and place in the fridge for at least 4 hours.

Before serving, add the rest of the mango puree and garnish with a few more mango pieces and mint leaves (optional). Enjoy!
