Recipes from Europe

If you like garlic bread, you have to try this Ukrainian Pampushky recipe! Made with a simple dough, the buns are brushed with a mixture oil oil, dill, and garlic for lots of flavor!

What You'll Need

All-Purpose Flour Milk & Butter Instant Yeast Sugar Salt Garlic Cloves Fresh Dill Olive Oil

First, whisk together the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt in a large mixing bowl.

Then add the warm milk and soft butter and knead the mixture into a soft dough that doesn't stick to your hands.

Let the dough rise in a warm, draft-free spot for about 40-50 minutes, or until it has roughly doubled in size.

Punch down the dough, then divide it into 6 equal portions. Shape them into round balls and place them in a baking dish.

Let the dough balls rise for another 30 minutes. Then preheat the oven to 360°F and brush the tops of the buns with milk.

Bake the buns for about 20-25 minutes until fully cooked. In the meantime, whisk together olive oil, chopped dill, and minced garlic in a small bowl.

Generously brush the hot buns with the oil mixture. Then let them cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
