If you're looking for an easy and filling dish, try this buckwheat with mushrooms recipe. Also known as buckwheat kasha, it's popular in many countries.

What You'll Need

Buckwheat groats Mushrooms Onion Salt & Pepper Butter Water or Broth

Melt the butter in a large pot or skillet. Add the mushrooms and onions and cook for 5-6 minutes. Stir regulary. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Rinse and drain the buckwheat groats. Remove any black or unpeeled seeds if you see them. Then add the buckwheat to the pot.

Pour in two cups of water or broth. Season with salt and pepper. Cover and simmer for about 30 minutes until the buckwheat is fluffy.

When the buckwheat is cooked, remove it from the heat. You can stir in some more butter if you want.

Serve the buckwheat with  mushrooms warm. You can garnish it with some parsley if you want. Enjoy!
